Mission Statement:

The Deepak Literacy Fund is dedicated to fostering digital proficiency, literacy, and mathematical abilities among underprivileged students. We believe that education is a powerful tool for change, and through our programs, we aim to bridge the digital divide and create pathways for academic excellence and lifelong success.

By December 2025, we aim to reach 500 students with comprehensive digital literacy programs, establishing measurable computer competency for all participants.

My name is Arianna Goel

Hi, I’m Arianna Goel! Welcome to my corner of the internet, where passion meets purpose. I’m a high school student from India with an insatiable curiosity for all things STEM and a heart dedicated to making a difference.

My journey began with a question: how can we use knowledge to empower those around us? Growing up, I was captivated by technology's ability to solve problems and create new opportunities. However, I noticed that not everyone had equal access to these tools. This realization inspired The Deepak Literacy Fund.

Through these projects, I aim to bridge the digital divide and foster a love for learning among underprivileged children. By combining my passion for STEM with a desire to make a difference, I’ve developed a program that not only equips children with literacy and digital skills but also inspire dreams and confidence in a brighter future.

I’m dedicated to building a world where every child has the chance to succeed in the digital age. Through collaboration, innovation, and a strong belief in education’s transformative power, I strive to ensure that no child is left behind.

About Us

Our Story

The Deepak Literacy Fund was established to address a critical gap in India's education system: brilliant minds being left behind due to lack of access rather than lack of ability. A 2019 report revealed that fewer than 25% of India's urban poor own computers, creating a digital divide that limits opportunities for talented students.

The organization's mission is rooted in the principles demonstrated by the founder’s grandfather, an engineer turned IT professor who dedicated his career to tutoring underprivileged students without charge. His belief that education should never be locked behind privilege or price became the guiding principle of our organization.

Today, the Deepak Literacy Fund operates on the principle that access should never depend on your pin code, working systematically to transform India's digital education landscape.

To create a future where every child has the resources and knowledge to succeed in the digital age, regardless of their economic background or geographic location.

Our Goals

Short-term:

Reach 500 students through our digital literacy workshops
Expand our AI awareness programs

Long-term:

Create a sustainable model for digital education that can be replicated by schools
Develop comprehensive curricula that prepare students for the digital economy

PROGRAMS & INITIATIVES

We are dedicated to enhancing education through innovative programs such as Digital Literacy Workshops, which empower individuals with essential tech. Our Tech 101 initiative raises awareness about artificial intelligence, preparing participants for the future Additionally, we focus on Computer Lab Development in schools, ensuring that students have access to the resources they need to thrive in a digital world.

Digital Literacy Workshops

Our core program focuses on teaching fundamental computer skills through hands-on workshops. Students learn:

Basic typing and formatting in MS Word
Excel fundamentals including data entry, charts, and graphs
Digital communication and internet safety
Creative projects that build confidence and practical skills

Impact:

At Bal Shiksha Kendra, students used Excel to track academic progress and create cricket scorecards, while in Word, they wrote personal stories and structured essays. Many experienced using a computer for the first time.

Tech 101: AI Awareness Initiative

Tech 101 is our specialized program promoting AI awareness and digital literacy among underprivileged students. We teach students how to effectively use AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini for:

Learning and research
Problem-solving and doubt clarification
Tutoring and career advice
Personalized learning experiences

Impact:

Through our collaboration with the Kailash Satyarthi Foundation, we've already impacted over 50 students, providing them with services typically available only to economically privileged students.

Computer Lab Development

We established fully equipped computer labs at the Bal Shiksha Kendra, creating permanent spaces for digital learning in underserved communities.

Impact:

In October 2024, we successfully raised funds and established our first computer lab at Bal Shiksha Kendra, run by the Dayawati Raj Bala Memorial Foundation.
